Doors often set a theme around buildings, so it is important to get the detailing and proportion right.
Tradition manufacture is very different from modern methods, for example traditional doors would have full mortice and tenon joints including haunch tenons and wedges, some with dowel driven through. Modern doors tend to really more on the strength of the adhesive.
I have worked on many buildings of historical interest and have assist in bringing traditional doors up to modern fire rating standards. Not all doors need to be remade to bring them up to modern standards, however if this is required I am sure we can assist.
